The Marching Boots

We are on foot slogging everywhere From the mountains to plains Moving up-down again Conveying one message There is no withdrawal in the war! Marching one-two-one-two Digging boots three-four-three-four Moving up-down again Conveying one message There is no withdrawal in the war! Always focusing to win Running up and down Boots are digging the ground Moving up-down again Conveying one message There is no withdrawal in the war! Enemy is under-fire With no chance of withdrawal One mistake and the game is over Moving up-down again Conveying one message There is no withdrawal in the war! Feeling hunger and thirst But can’t lose enemy Oh lord, give me strength To march up-down again Conveying one message There is no withdrawal in the war! The day was tough The night is on Millions of boots Moving up-down again Conveying one message There is no withdrawal in the war! I have moved seven weeks in the field

The game of disgrace

Sports were medium to enhance gentleman quality in youngster. From ancient times it has been seen as the right technique to groom the future leaders. One of such sports is Cricket, the British game, and regarded as the gentleman’s game. But with time the legacy of cricket has lost the shine of gentleman in its game. Recently at the end of Oval test match, English cricketers were seen peeing on the Oval’s pitch. Oval is a magnificent ground and regarded as a prestigious cricket destination. What was going in their mind? Has they lost the prestige? English cricketers have been part such kind of controversy from past one decade. Throwing beans at pitch against India, or tampering ball, they have done everything which has brought disgrace to the game. I just hope that England Cricket Board, ECB, is watching all this closely and they will take necessary step to bring these young faces of England cricket on right track.

Smoke & Make Friends!

It was a very busy Sunday:  morning I ran for twenty kilometers (yes, you can think I had gone crazy) followed by a wonderful brunch with friends and then I tried to explore the mountains. I came back at 1500 hrs. to my cabin. My friend who is also my neighbor was sitting on my laptop browsing something. After a little chat, I saw that he was carrying a box of cigarettes. He has a group, in which all of them smoke, and they became friends because of the smoking itself but they all do have good understanding between each other. I wondered that a burning stick can make people good friends, and then there must be something. Well I don’t advocate that you should smoke, and I also hate smoking. Well, it is a known fact that people with the same interest do share a good bonding with each other. If you are drinker then go to bar, because you will find many who likes to appreciate good drink combined with good company. Similarly, smokers gel with each other well. They also share

The Fun of Coffee

Today was Sunday; holiday for many, but not for me. I had to complete a project and because of lack of sleep from past one week, I was feeling sleepy. I rushed to grab some coffee to keep myself awake. When I saw coffee in my coffee mug, it reminded me of a friend with whom I used to share coffee. We were addicted to drink black coffee and sometimes without sugar. That friend became inspiration for me to write this article. I wondered that why coffee is not sweet but still loved by so many people all over the world. It is surprising to see so many people addicted to coffee. Many even can’t start their day without a cup of coffee. The importance of coffee encouraged me to find fun facts about it. I am going to share few funny facts of coffee which may leave you in shock. The first one is very interesting fact. Origin of coffee dates back to ninth century when a shepherd accidently discovered coffee beans. He observed that these beans were making his goats crazy. The Random Beauty

Be Good With Nature and Nature will be good with you

The calamity which occurred recently in Uttrakhand attracted lot of attention from many people. The flood situation was considered to be as one of the biggest havoc created by nature in this mountainous state of India. But nature is really responsible for this? I think no! The disaster could have been minimized to a huge extent if the people of the state had practiced right drills to safeguard their future. Continuous sand mining in the rivers were pushing the river to change its track. The mining was illegal and many NGOs were concerned and fighting for the same. The mafias behind it were looking for the self-interest but their act led to deaths of many. Another reason is the waste generated by tourism which is being disposed in these rivers. Rivers were polluted and the density of water was changing constantly with the action done.  According to a research, polluted water also played major role in causing the flood in the state. Well this is the time for the people

A Step Towards Equality

In INDIA mostly in MIDDLE CLASS SOCIETIES which comprises of majorly the the population the following trend is noticed: Girls are usually taught cooking and other household chores  with the mentality that they have to serve their in laws in future while boys are taught technical stuff and work related to outside the house like changing tubelight or paying electricity bills etc etc with the mentality that this is all a guy’s stuff. The above mentality of division of task make society unisex dominated. Let’s look the above other way: Girls should be taught household chores with the mentality of making her learn things so that in future she can survive independently and boys should also be taught the same. Time to time the jobs should be exchanged or flipped so that both learn each other’s task  too. so that in future they are competent enough to survive independently. What parents can do in this is that they should also flip the jobs like whats the b

The Great Cultural Chaos

We are living in a world where there are different kinds of culture. Since globalization, there is an amalgam of these different cultures. Every culture has its own unique features which starts right from the etiquette to eating habits till the dressing style. Like Japanese has their own dressing style, similarly, Bhutanese wear their traditional dress and same way dhoti in India is a traditional dress.  Due to globalization most of the people around the world are now aware about the dressing style of people belonging to other cultures. Recently in Dubai a very sad incident occurred where an old man of Indian origin who was wearing dhoti, was not allowed to enter Dubai metro. Police stopped this old man and his daughter on the punching gate of Dubai metro station. Police showed concerned that such kind of clothing cannot be allowed to wear on metro. Though, daughter of old man tried to explain that this is traditional dress of India which covers body successfully, the police man

The Ambitious Military Strategy: Cold Start Doctrine

What is cold start doctrine? This was the question which I was asking myself after attending a seminar on 1971 war between India and Pakistan. To a question asked by a person sitting in audience, the presenter of the seminar asked to refer cold start doctrine. I and my friends were not aware about cold start doctrine which sounds very interesting. After doing some research I came to know that, cold start doctrine is compilation of practical and imaginary tactics to carry out a quick integrated battle. Integrated battle means, Army, Air Force and navy carrying out operation to achieve same objective. The primary objective of cold start is to produce atmosphere for limited war. According to the doctrine, to achieve the objective there is a need to re divide the army into integrated battle groups. The main aim is to carry out several strikes within 72 to 96 hours and going approximately fifty to seventy kilometers inside the enemy’s territory with the support of navy and

The Secret Behind Friendship Day

I was talking to one of my beautiful friends and discussing about my previous blog post. She asked me that today is friendship day then why you didn't write something about that? Well, her question ignited a thought process inside me that how this friendship day started? Why we need a day for friends as we spend so much time with friends? When I become curious about something then I do anything to find details about it. After doing some research I came to know a very interesting fact about friendship day. I don’t know how many of us, even know the truth behind friendship day. Friendship day is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of month of August. It is not just day of friends but it signifies the relationship of family, lovers and friends. People started celebrating in the year 1935 when United States Congress felt the need to dedicate a day for family, friends and lovers. Due to First World War, people of that time were devastated. There was no trust be

The Lazy Sunday

It is again Sunday and my day starts as usual early in morning. Grass is wet due to past night rain. Sky is cloudy with sun trying to breach the mine field laid by rain god. Sunday for me is always being a day for laziness. I am not in a mood to play soccer, but no one can ignore the chance to spend some time with friends on field. Cloudy Sky, Beautiful Mountains enough to make your day beautiful Soccer is a very interesting game where twenty two players are behind one damn ball. I practiced some penalty shoot out, basically to prepare our new goal keeper. He needs some practice before matches. I was happy that my kicks were accurate and ball was landing on right spots. When things go right you feel happy and content. Blogging is not just interest but it is passion for few After the soccer session, I vanished to my cabin. Played Sufi music on my deck and grabbed a cup of tea with my laptop on. Blogging is my passion; I just love to write and to express myself. This g

THE SEA

In the twilight, when sun is about to swaddle into the clouds… And At the beaches where these waves rises and falls Progresses the breeze its journey towards haven I settle down to relax my aching legs… The sand at the touch of feet is grainy The ongoing tides make it sublimely misty… I look at the sea… It’s so behemoth , placid and serene Wondering if In its unfathomable depth I can just get lost Red hue in the azure sky …. Makes me ponder over what my life is? As the sun bids goodbye , There is mist in my eyes Because the sea  flashbacks whole of my life Of people gone and people added this heart aches in pain of those who left by then there is laughter too because of the people who joined by.. the whole scene looks as spiritual as the sea always makes me overly emotional I keep looking until the horizon But when I chase it , it goes into hiding For I believe from that day… Some doub
