There is a Will, There are Ways

So finally it is Monday, and I am sure most of the people must be cribbing about this bloody Monday. But I am happy that finally this is Monday. Only 5 days to go for my extreme campaign of 150 kms non-stop walkathon with fifteen kgs of backpack, exploring each and every place en-route. I am concentrating on my diet these days taking adequate carbohydrates and drinking lots and lots of water for my dream campaign. I am excited allot, for this campaign, and setting a target of thirty one hours to forty eight hours to finish the campaign. Sometimes, I do get nervous. I just hope I don't run out of the determination. I am working out my abs because it is one of the most important core muscles to carry out rigorous physical task. My race is not only with time but also with my will power. I am sure tiredness will force me to quit but the real challenge is to keep going till the end.

The Darkest Night

As the sun disappeared in the west, we were all ready to start with our sixty kilometers run back. We were laced with one litter of water and chocolates to keep us alive on the way. We crazy bunch of adventurer were ready to kick start. We aligned our map with north direction and started towards our town. As we progressed ahead, the darkness kept on haunting us. It was so dark that we were not able to see any person ten meters ahead of us. We were running in the dried river, where the pebble stones were making things difficult for us. Our high ankle boots were good enough to prevent any kind of ankle injury. As we wanted to reach back before the first light, we were running with our backpacks. In the river, there was some water but it was not enough to drown our ankles but it was good enough to make way inside our high ankle boots to cause wetness and unrequired blisters in the foot. Now this was a challenge for us to keep our leg dry. We had torch in our hand which we were u...

The Beginning of Extraordinary Adventure

I believe in one thing that one can enjoy life when a person can push limits of his capability. People generally call such kind of person crazy. I don’t mind people calling me crazy because I enjoy what I do. Recently, we did a crazy thing. It is winters and I and my friends decided to go for camping. I am not talking about the camping which people from corporate or IT sector do just to satisfy them which is even not close to any kind of camping. I am talking about hardcore camping. We purchased map of the local region, and found a very favorable place in a forest reserve. The place which we selected as camping site was full of forest and wild animals, especially snakes. It was located on a long mountain ridge. A small river passing through a village which was not very far from the camping site. The first day we reached the camping site, it was a treat to watch the greenery. We walked for almost three kilometers up-slope to reach our camping location. It was full of veget...

My Encounter With Real Life Hero: Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal

When you travel, you meet several people. All are interesting in one way or another. I am travelling from past several years, met many people and it was truly a learning experience. As the trend goes, in very early stages of my seven days road trip, I met a guy who I felt was the hero of this real world. Well, I am calling him hero because of his character and deeds. I met Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal. Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal receiving Tensing Norgay Award from President of India   Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal comes from a village background. He is from Badhori a small village in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir. He started his career in Indian Army as a recruit. But as it is said, you can’t stop a true leader to emerge out from lakhs of people. Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal cleared service selection board for Army Cadet College, and graduated from there. Followed by Army Cadet College, he got inducted in Indian Military Academy and became commissioned officer after four...

Travel Fantasy!!!

Everyone has some fantasies in their life. I am also no exception. I too have a fantasy, but its related to traveling. My fantasy is to travel about 700 Kms from Hyderabad to Bangalore on a bicycle. Its very difficult to bring in reality, specially riding a bicycle on national highways full of trucks and buses. But in a positive way, its very adventurous, as one is unaware about the challenges coming ahead. Another best thing about traveling around the world on bicycle is that one can see landscapes which can't be seen by traveling in train or in flight. Several villages and small towns which will come on the way, will give an impression of their unique culture. Advantage of such journey is that, it will make you physically fit. Though, to ride a bicycle for 700 km requires good fitness. I will not prefer to go alone on such trip. Surely, will do it with friends. May be not now, but sooner or later, I convert my fantasy into reality.
