The Great Cultural Chaos

We are living in a world where there are different kinds of culture. Since globalization, there is an amalgam of these different cultures. Every culture has its own unique features which starts right from the etiquette to eating habits till the dressing style. Like Japanese has their own dressing style, similarly, Bhutanese wear their traditional dress and same way dhoti in India is a traditional dress. Due to globalization most of the people around the world are now aware about the dressing style of people belonging to other cultures.

Recently in Dubai a very sad incident occurred where an old man of Indian origin who was wearing dhoti, was not allowed to enter Dubai metro. Police stopped this old man and his daughter on the punching gate of Dubai metro station. Police showed concerned that such kind of clothing cannot be allowed to wear on metro. Though, daughter of old man tried to explain that this is traditional dress of India which covers body successfully, the police man was not ready to understand.

This incident is an indication to the government of India to promote their culture all over the world otherwise such kind of incidences keep on embarrassing Indians on foreign platform. Indian citizens should also respect their culture and promote it on international platform. I hope this kind of incidences will not happen again in future.

The Battle of Longewala

After drifting for approximately thousand kilometers from Alwar, I have reached Longewala. This place romanticizes me allot. The battle of Longewala a legend in itself. It is located at 120 kms from city of Jaisalmer. Only way to reach this place is boulevard and if you are tourist then you have to hire a cab. Longewala is prevalent because of the illustrious skirmish tussled between India and Pakistan in 1971. The clash of Longewala is all about how hundred odd men clogged and overwhelmed approximately 2000 Pakistani legionnaires.
