Be Good With Nature and Nature will be good with you

The calamity which occurred recently in Uttrakhand attracted lot of attention from many people. The flood situation was considered to be as one of the biggest havoc created by nature in this mountainous state of India. But nature is really responsible for this? I think no!

The disaster could have been minimized to a huge extent if the people of the state had practiced right drills to safeguard their future. Continuous sand mining in the rivers were pushing the river to change its track. The mining was illegal and many NGOs were concerned and fighting for the same. The mafias behind it were looking for the self-interest but their act led to deaths of many.

Another reason is the waste generated by tourism which is being disposed in these rivers. Rivers were polluted and the density of water was changing constantly with the action done. According to a research, polluted water also played major role in causing the flood in the state.

Well this is the time for the people and government to understand the sensitivity of nature and act according to it. Be good with nature and nature will be good with you.

The Battle of Longewala

After drifting for approximately thousand kilometers from Alwar, I have reached Longewala. This place romanticizes me allot. The battle of Longewala a legend in itself. It is located at 120 kms from city of Jaisalmer. Only way to reach this place is boulevard and if you are tourist then you have to hire a cab. Longewala is prevalent because of the illustrious skirmish tussled between India and Pakistan in 1971.
