I have grown watching cricket, playing cricket, living
cricket and not what more. Yes, I am an ordinary Indian who is crazy for
cricket. The gods of Indian Cricket kept on retiring one by one and I kept
losing the interest.
They created me, they improved me and they brought out best
of me. Rahul Dravid’s 222 knock and 76 not out knock at Adelaide showed me that
in 10th board exams I can also score good, I just need to keep
patience. Yes, Rahul Dravid taught me how to keep patience, Sourav Ganguly
taught me that victory lies in the secret of aggressive leadership, Sachin
Tendulkar taught me what is living a dream, VVS Laxman taught me what is hard
work and youngest of them all but has its own style Virender Sehwag taught me
believing in your own abilities.
Lots of things have been written on sehwag’s retirement and
words are not enough to redefine his glorious career. This is my small tribute
to the guy who believed in himself and made others to believe in themselves.
