Rod On Road Turns 4

Exactly four years back when I was studying my engineering and trying hard to look cool in front of girls in my college, I started this blog in anticipation to change the society. I am not much aware that how much I have achieved that but I enjoys posting articles on my blog. I have learnt allot since then and now from a rookie I have turned into a less ROOKIE author.

You must be wondering that why I named my blog ''Rod on Road''. I came up with this name because I like to travel allot and in year 2011 I decided to change the name from Young Impact to Rod on Road.

I didn't change the URL to rod on road because after three years of crazy experience, Young Impact had became a brand and many people started using the URL directly. I also loved the URL.

In the first month of the birth of this blog, I had received only 217 hits. At that point of time I used to cheer each and every hit. Rod on Road is not about travelling but it is about an endless journey which we all are doing in our life. Life is an endless journey and few do it in an elegant way and few struggled to move throughout the life. Through this blog, my main objective was to share my interest with the world. It is not my mistake that I am simply interested in so many different things which makes this blog unique.

Your love and Support has made Rod on Road a success and I hope you will keep on loving my blog as you have done till now. I promise you that I will keep on posting some good contents which will match up your interest on a regular basis.

As a author, I request you all who visits this blog to tell me about the content which you want to see on this blog. I will be happy to post content of your choice. Now Rod on Road not only represents me but it represents all the youngsters who want to do something different in this world.

Cheers!!!! It is party time.

The Battle of Longewala

After drifting for approximately thousand kilometers from Alwar, I have reached Longewala. This place romanticizes me allot. The battle of Longewala a legend in itself. It is located at 120 kms from city of Jaisalmer. Only way to reach this place is boulevard and if you are tourist then you have to hire a cab. Longewala is prevalent because of the illustrious skirmish tussled between India and Pakistan in 1971. The clash of Longewala is all about how hundred odd men clogged and overwhelmed approximately 2000 Pakistani legionnaires. This battle was all about the audacity, impetus, chauvinism and drive to prizefight exhibited by those eighty Indian warriors. This scuffle is one of my favorite scuffles, and whenever I come to this place, my mind start envisaging how horde of men repudiated the destiny. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, A-Coy of 23 Punjab had taken up the defences at Longewala. The A-Coy company commander was Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri later on emer...

IS THIS TRUTH OR ANOTHER COMEDY BY PAKISTAN ARMY????

Kashmir War 1947 - 49 By November 1947 Auchinleck, Supreme Commander based in New Delhi, being convinced that Indian Cabinet was seeking to destroy and undo Pakistan by economic and military means, was forced to resign. As the build-up of Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir continued, Pakistan Army units were being hurriedly organized and equipped without any base for manufacture of ammunition, signal stores, equipment or vehicles. Simultaneously, Pakistan National Guards were raised from ex-servicemen and other volunteers along border areas to provide a second line of defence. By February 1948 Indian build up in Jammu and Kashmir reached five brigades plus, under two full-fledged division Headquarters. Our 101 Brigade, commanded by Brigadier Akbar Khan was rushed into the critical front to forestall and halt the Indian offensive along Uri-Muzaffarabad axis. In April 1948, Commander-in-Chief Pakistan Army appreciating the threats in the north along Muzaffarabad-Kohala...

What is Aadhar Card?

Recently Indian Government started a program to issue a unique identification to every citizen of the country which is now popularly known as Aadhar Card in India. Most of the people are still not aware about Aadhar Card and many who are aware don’t have time to obtain from the authorities. But the main question is that what is actually an Aadhar Card? Few people say it is Identification Card, others say it is like a smart card. Aadhar card is actually not identification card but it is identification number which is currently issued to all Indian citizens. The identification number is known as Aadhar. It will be printed on a card and the card is known as Aadhar Card. The unique identification number or Aadhar is very important than the card. It is not compulsory right now but the people are encouraged to obtain one as soon as possible. Aadhar card is applicable for every one of any age and working in any organization. The basic eligibility criteria for Aadhar card is tha...
