The Perfect Rep Range Workout For Growth of Muscles


It doesn't matter who you talk to or what your read, every single person in this world have their own opinion about perfect repetition range which should be performed for maximum growth and stimulation of muscles. In this article I am going to discuss about the perfect kind of repetition range for growth and stimulation of muscles and I will also teach you about selecting the repetitive range which is very effective for optimal building of muscles.



Sets in which heavy weights are utilized with less number of reps are obviously the most effective workout to stimulate growth of the muscle. Each set which you perform at your gym with your trainer; you should use a repetition of five to seven. This means that while you performing your workout, you need to use enough light weight so that you can complete five reps perfectly. But it should be as much as heavy so that you cannot complete more than seven reps easily.  So, you must be thinking that what so unique about five to seven rep is? We will tell you about the effectiveness of five to seven reps. there are following advantages of it:

1. The first advantage is that each set will take only take twenty to thirty seconds. This maximizes muscle gains through intensive and efficient workout. AS the sets are of short duration, you can generate hundred percent effort and focus. It is important to train yourself with hundred percent of intensity which stimulates growth of the muscle. The short duration of the sets results in consistent efforts throughout the workout. You don't need to adopt a marathon workout regimen; a short burst of effort will last for several seconds stimulating growth of the muscle in a right way.


2. These short reps will also maximize muscle stimulation. There are two main types of muscles present in our body, one is slow twitch fiber muscle and other one is fast twitch fiber muscle. Slow twitch is unable to generate power of large bursts and it is used during an activity of longer duration. Slow twitch fibers has high level of tolerance which is useful in endurance exercises but it doesn't have high potential to increase the growth of the muscle. On the other hand, fast twitch fibers produces huge bursts of power which is utilized during explosive and short duration of exercises. Fast twitch has mitochondria which is located in the area of muscle cell from where energy is produced. Mitochondrion has the potential to increase strength and size of the muscle. If you do five to seven reps then you will use these extreme responsive muscle fibers. This will also result in the huge amount of growth of the muscle and muscles will also gain lot of strength.

3. Five to seven reps ensures that maximum resistance can be used by muscles. Your muscles fiber can easily handle heavy weights which you cannot achieve with a high number of rep ranges. As your strength will increase at much faster pace, muscle size will also increase.

4. The best advantage of five to seven reps is that production of lactic acid is kept at minimum level. This will ensure that huge amount of energy is produced by muscle without experiencing any kind of stress.

Now, we have understood that five to seven rep ranges is the effective means to stimulate growth of muscle. Muscles such as calves, forearms, abs and traps need high number of reps to stimulate the muscle growth. A ten to twelve rep workout is good enough to complete the workout.

 Let us summarize the workout regimen which you can use to stimulate growth of muscle.

1. You can do five to seven reps for chest, biceps, shoulders, lats, triceps and thigh muscles.

2. Do ten to twelve reps for abs, upper traps, calves and forearms.
