Online Product Reviews: Good or Bad?

Whenever a marketer or a retailer discuss about social media
then one question pops up in their mind that, is online product reviews are good or just waste of time and money?

According to a surveying website which performed a research on online reviews, less than twenty six percent of marketers have ratings given by customer or the reviews. Ninety six percent of them feel that reviews are an effective way to increase the sales. It is now important to understand that why other marketers are not so keen on investing in online reviews.

Dedicated Key for Online Shopping

Other than obstacles and technology, there is a fear of bad reviews which is one of the biggest obstacles coming in the way of marketers and stopping them to consider online reviews as one of the option to increase the sales and profit margin in a big way.

A market expert suggests that marketers should accept the good and bad aspects of content which is generated by the users about their product or services. But most of the consumers take time out to write the review about some product or service when they find something positive and want to share with others. So marketers shouldn't be afraid about the consequences and should take this calculated risk. A calculated risk ensures that you have little to lose.

According to a survey, forty eight percent of the people like to refer a review given by someone who used the product before or made the purchase online. Most of the people are looking for some negative comments about the product so that they can come to know about the shortcomings about the product and they can consider about purchasing it. It is a fact that we are not living a perfect world and most of the things are not perfect, so it is advisable to share some minor drawbacks of the product in the review which doesn't leave a bad impact on the sales of the product.

But there are people who don't get bother with the negative comments about the product and they purchase the product without any doubt in their mind. It is difficult to understand the thought process of each and every single customer but overall negative review about any product doesn't bother most of the people. People look for the information which they are looking for in a given product. When they find that desirable feature are available with a product then they don't consider the negative aspects of the product or reviews and they show interest in making purchase. This is a good thing for marketers who think that online product review can harm their sales or for those who are not willing to take a risk and allow the customers to speak about their experience.

If you are still unwilling to publish online product reviews then someone else will do. A customer will do a wide research on the product, and if you are not willing to publish a product review or hiding the shortcomings from them then they will find it on some other website. Remember one thing, online product review is a good thing and it can be really helpful for you to boost up your sales margin.

The Battle of Longewala

After drifting for approximately thousand kilometers from Alwar, I have reached Longewala. This place romanticizes me allot. The battle of Longewala a legend in itself. It is located at 120 kms from city of Jaisalmer. Only way to reach this place is boulevard and if you are tourist then you have to hire a cab. Longewala is prevalent because of the illustrious skirmish tussled between India and Pakistan in 1971. The clash of Longewala is all about how hundred odd men clogged and overwhelmed approximately 2000 Pakistani legionnaires. This battle was all about the audacity, impetus, chauvinism and drive to prizefight exhibited by those eighty Indian warriors. This scuffle is one of my favorite scuffles, and whenever I come to this place, my mind start envisaging how horde of men repudiated the destiny. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, A-Coy of 23 Punjab had taken up the defences at Longewala. The A-Coy company commander was Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri later on emer...
