3 Creative Tips on Digital Photography

If you believe that digital cameras do all the work and you just need to push the click button to capture a picture which is magically wonderful, then you are wrong. It is a myth that better cameras produce better photos. The truth is that photography skills matters allot to capture beautiful pictures. It is not the camera producing those beautiful pictures but it is you with your photographic skills producing it. With little willingness combined with knowledge, you can make minor adjustment to your camera to capture big time photographs out of smallest digital cameras.

We will discuss few simple tips to help you to shoot like a professional photographer without putting pressure on your bank account.

1. Creative Polarizing Filter: If you want to blow up mind of others through your image then you can try combination of polarizing filter and digital camera. A polarizer is an essential tool which every photographer should have in their kit for outdoor and landscapes shooting. Polarized filter reduces the unwanted glare and reflections and saturates colors. If your digital camera is unable to accommodate any kind of filters then don't worry. You can use a trick to get polarized shots. If you have a good pair of sunglasses then takes them and uses it as polarized filter. Place the sunglasses close enough to the camera lens and then check the position of lens in the liquid crystal display viewfinder and make sure that rims doesn't come in the shots.

2.  Painted Images: For a photographer, it is sometimes difficult to impress the audience through the artsy photographs. To impress such audience on can capture photographs which look like painting. It can be achieved by forcing shutter of the camera to stay open for couple of second which leads to a soft and flowing effect of the subject. All the other elements near the subject stay sharp and nice. Choose a subject which can be made look like a painting in a photograph. You need a tripod for stable camera during the exposure and use a self-timer in order to trip the camera shutter. If your camera comes with aperture priority setting then it is recommended to set it to f-8, f-16 or f-11. The aperture setting will provide greater depth and it will slow down the shutter.

3. Less Resolution Versus High Resolution: The best tip which I can ever give you is this one. The most compelling reason to pack memory card is to enable the photographer to capture photos with highest possible resolution. If you purchased a camera by paying a premium price for an eight megapixels digital camera, then to get worth of spent money you would shoot at eight megapixels with setting of highest quality compression. But why not capture more number of images on your memory card by capturing photograph of lower resolution with low quality compression setting. If save some space on your memory card then you never know you may get chance to capture the next big thing of the modern era. I am not asking you to compromise with the printable size of photograph. Capture the photos at 640X480 resolutions which has credit card sized printable form. Capture the important images on higher resolution so that the images will have better quality and can be hanged in museum.

Most of the digital cameras have a huge amount of functionality which is in-built. You just need to apply little creativity and skill and you will be able to take shots which will impress your viewers.

The Battle of Longewala

After drifting for approximately thousand kilometers from Alwar, I have reached Longewala. This place romanticizes me allot. The battle of Longewala a legend in itself. It is located at 120 kms from city of Jaisalmer. Only way to reach this place is boulevard and if you are tourist then you have to hire a cab. Longewala is prevalent because of the illustrious skirmish tussled between India and Pakistan in 1971. The clash of Longewala is all about how hundred odd men clogged and overwhelmed approximately 2000 Pakistani legionnaires. This battle was all about the audacity, impetus, chauvinism and drive to prizefight exhibited by those eighty Indian warriors. This scuffle is one of my favorite scuffles, and whenever I come to this place, my mind start envisaging how horde of men repudiated the destiny. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, A-Coy of 23 Punjab had taken up the defences at Longewala. The A-Coy company commander was Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri later on emer...

IS THIS TRUTH OR ANOTHER COMEDY BY PAKISTAN ARMY????

Kashmir War 1947 - 49 By November 1947 Auchinleck, Supreme Commander based in New Delhi, being convinced that Indian Cabinet was seeking to destroy and undo Pakistan by economic and military means, was forced to resign. As the build-up of Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir continued, Pakistan Army units were being hurriedly organized and equipped without any base for manufacture of ammunition, signal stores, equipment or vehicles. Simultaneously, Pakistan National Guards were raised from ex-servicemen and other volunteers along border areas to provide a second line of defence. By February 1948 Indian build up in Jammu and Kashmir reached five brigades plus, under two full-fledged division Headquarters. Our 101 Brigade, commanded by Brigadier Akbar Khan was rushed into the critical front to forestall and halt the Indian offensive along Uri-Muzaffarabad axis. In April 1948, Commander-in-Chief Pakistan Army appreciating the threats in the north along Muzaffarabad-Kohala...

Mission Accomplishment Paramount Even as IAF Initiates ODS Alternatives in Weapon Systems The Indian Air Force (IAF) is adopting a multi-pronged strategy to combat ozone depletion including limiting the use of Halon to mission critical uses, tighter control laws and incorporating accountability towards phase-out of ODS (Ozone Depleting Substances) said Air Chief Marshal PV Naik while delivering the inaugural address at the two-day International Workshop on ‘Benefits of ODS Phase-out in Defence Forces’ organized by Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS), today. Air Chief Marshal P.V. NAIK While highlighting initiatives taken by the IAF, and encouraging alternatives, the Air Chief however, clarified, “Mission accomplishment remains paramount for the Armed Forces. Substituting an ODS would only be done, if it doesn’t impinge on operational effectiveness of the system in question.” For new weapon systems in the pipeline, inclusion of a clause in RFPs for provision of alter...
