This tour is in support of their newly released album called ‘’Mylo Xyloto.’’ Mylo Xyloto is already a hit among music lovers. North American tour will begin on 17th April, 2012. There first destination is Edmonton, Alb. There final destination in this tour is S.t Paul, Minn. They will reach St. Paul on 11th August. Tickets are already on sale.
Coldplay’s album Mylo Xyloto is their number one album. According to Nielsen Soundscan, in the first week of its release, 447,150 copies of Mylo Xyloto were sold out. On October 25th, Mylo Xyloto topped Billboard 200. “ Every teardrop is a waterfall’’ and ‘’paradise’’ were nominated in categories of best rock performance and best pop duo or group performance in the 2012 Grammy awards. Interesting fact is that Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto was released after the eligibility period of 2012 Grammys. In Rock Song listing, ‘’paradise’’ is the fourth popular song in the world of rock music.
In 2012 North American tour, Coldplay is set to have twenty one shows and only all of them have been announced. Until January 2012, tickets of two shows in L.A. Bowl won’t be made available for sale.
To make this tour, a success, Coldplay started their campaign on a live music TV series on New Year eve. For the first time ever, they appeared on TV for ninety minutes long episode of ‘’Austin City Limits’’. In this special episode, they celebrated end of 2011 and welcomed 2012. Their previous concert was way back in 2010, started in Mexico followed by tour of South America. Since then, they have consistently stayed in spotlight. In 2012, Coldplay is also going to feature in Europe. Their European tour includes London, Paris and Cologne.
