Rohit Shetty to shoot Bigg Boss Season 5 promo

Rohit Shetty’s latest movie, Singham, is going great guns at the box-office, having grossed Rs 70 crore till Monday last, and after delivering his fourth consecutive blockbuster after Golmaal Returns (2008), All The Best: The Fun Begins (2009) and Golmaal 3 (2010) Shetty is undoubtedly the director in demand. A day after Singham opened, he was shooting the first of the Bigg Boss 5 promos with star anchors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt.

“It was good fun but stressful too because Singham had just released and we had to keep track of collections. But we pulled it off. Salman’s a pro now and Sanju too is extremely comfortable and is sure to connect with the audience. TV is a new medium for him but he will make a great host,” predicts Shetty.
Prod him on the controversy over a reference to Kannadigas in the film that lead to protests across the border and shows being cancelled and Rohit says, “The situation was defused with an apology by Friday afternoon. The perceived slight wasn’t intentional. The film is running well in Karnataka.”
After Shammi Kapoor-Nasir Hussain, Manmohan Desai-Amitabh Bachchan, David Dhawan-Govinda and Shah Rukh Khan-Karan Johar, Bollywood has a new hit jodi –Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn. All of Rohit’s films, from Zameen in 2003 to Singham in 2011, have featured Ajay. Is it going to be a career-long relationship? “Why not?” he laughs. “As long as I can come up with subjects that spark off Ajay’s interest.”
Bol Bachchan, an official remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Golmaal with Ajay and Abhishek Bachchan flags off on August 20, and will be followed by Golmaal 4. “I’m still working on the script, but the next Golmaal film will come only by Diwali 2013,” says Rohit. “In between, there should be another film, but not All The Best 2. That’s in the cold storage for now.”
Meanwhile, there’s also been talk of a film with Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. “I’ve met both, but there’s nothing planned with either,” he says. The Battle of Longewala

After drifting for approximately thousand kilometers from Alwar, I have reached Longewala. This place romanticizes me allot. The battle of Longewala a legend in itself. It is located at 120 kms from city of Jaisalmer. Only way to reach this place is boulevard and if you are tourist then you have to hire a cab. Longewala is prevalent because of the illustrious skirmish tussled between India and Pakistan in 1971. The clash of Longewala is all about how hundred odd men clogged and overwhelmed approximately 2000 Pakistani legionnaires. This battle was all about the audacity, impetus, chauvinism and drive to prizefight exhibited by those eighty Indian warriors. This scuffle is one of my favorite scuffles, and whenever I come to this place, my mind start envisaging how horde of men repudiated the destiny. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, A-Coy of 23 Punjab had taken up the defences at Longewala. The A-Coy company commander was Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri later on emer...
