On 64th Independence day celebration of India, Legendary Actor of Bollywood, Amitab Bachan, once again come back on small screen of television with new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Kaun Banega Crorepati is the one show which helped Amitab Bachan to recover from financial crisis almost one decade back. This show is very close to his heart. Shah Rukh Khan also once hosted this show, but it was nothing but a failure compared to the success of this show with Amitab Bacchan.
This time Rs. 5 crore (U.S. $ 1111111.11) is the prize money. Format has been changed a little. This time contestant can chose the safe money level which is known as ''padav'' in english it means level. Advantage of this is that, contestant can win minimum of that safe money level, for example if someone keeps it as ten thousand bucks, then on a wrong answer one will take home back that much for sure. Lifelines have been same as the old season.
Opening episode started with sad news of death of Shami Kapoor, and Amitaab Bacchan paid tribute to him. First contestant of the this season was Virendar Pal Singh, from delhi, who is 23 year old, a content writer, plus he is doing graduation and also preparing for Combined Defence Services to join Indian Army as a commissioned officer. He started on a nervous note, but recovered soon, and in the end won 3.20 Lakh rupees ($ 7111.11 USD).
Next contestant was Archana Goswami from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. She played well, but due to one wrong answer she wasn't able to win.
This new season started on a very good note. The aim of this season is to project example in front of society that people from various backgrounds, can change their fate. One women was from a village of schedule caste, and wanted to spend won money on development of her village. Archana Goswami, is one of the survival of girl child killing. Her mother is a teacher, and when she was pregnanat her mother in law asked her to go for abortion as she was about to give birth to a girl child. Her mother ran away and took shelter in Varanasi. She is example of girl child brutal killing in Indian society.
Kaun Banega Crorepati 2011, is setting a good example in world of reality shows that small screen can be used for social reform.
