STUBBORN CAN'T WIN

After getting rejection in screening itself. I was little disappointed. I was not ready to accept this failure. I have always seen myself as a deserving candidate for armed forces. But something was wrong, which lead to my rejection in screening itself.
I had applied for university entry scheme of Indian army, and I got SSB call for it.
As it clashed with my CDSE SSB, and I preferred CDSE SSB over UES INDIAN ARMY SSB, so I didn't appear on the first date. They called me again for the same course at Allahabad in absentee batch.
Allahabad is considered as mecca of all SSBs. It is one of the oldest selection center in the country.
I had one month time, and I started preparing. I didn't concentrate on the reasons which lead to my rejection in screening. Once again I was preparing for psychology, interview and group task, which was the 2nd phase testing.
I booked my tickets for Allahabad. I felt that may be I will make it in army. I was going with some hope.
Train journey was tiring as I traveled in RAC, and shared a single berth with another person. Journey was about 25 hours.
I reported there on MCO. Unlike CDSE ssb where 250 candidates appeared, here only 29 candidates appeared for UES, as it was an absentee batch, and all regular batch was already done. Accommodation was not impressive as it was at Bhopal. I felt Bhopal is one of the best selection centers in India. The first day we filled lot of forms, and we were free in evening. After eating dinner, I called my friend, and we both kept on talking on phone for about 3 hours. I wasted lot of time. That day, it was IPL finals of 2010 season. I didn't wish to miss it, so I watched the finals at my block till 1 in morning. TV was provided there in each block, which was unique thing compared with other selection centers. I was in 14SSB board. In morning I woke up early, and was feeling tired as I didn't complete my sleep.
Once again the screening procedure started. I didn't perform well in reasoning part. Now I was aware that, I had to give my best in PPDT. I had already decided that which story I am going to write irrespective of the picture shown, as generally picture is hazy, and characters in the picture is not much visible.
But when picture was displayed, I was shocked as picture was clear, and characters were clearly visible. I decided that I will not back out from my plan. I will write the story which I already decided. In picture a doctor was shown, but I showed a lawyer as I decided.
I narrated my story and was little nervous. All other candidates showed a doctor in their story, and I was the only one to show a lawyer. I knew this is going to be difficult during discussion. I decided, I will support others stories as I was alone having different story. Group discussion went well and I was confident that I will get screened in this time.
Soon they announced the screening result. My chest number was 4. Chest number 1, chest number 2 and chest number 3 were screened in. Chest number 4 was once again screened out.
Again I was shocked, disappointed. I informed my father. He was shocked, because I was screened out twice in a row.
Due to my stubborn nature, I got rejected. STUBBORN CAN'T WIN!!

The Battle of Longewala

After drifting for approximately thousand kilometers from Alwar, I have reached Longewala. This place romanticizes me allot. The battle of Longewala a legend in itself. It is located at 120 kms from city of Jaisalmer. Only way to reach this place is boulevard and if you are tourist then you have to hire a cab. Longewala is prevalent because of the illustrious skirmish tussled between India and Pakistan in 1971. The clash of Longewala is all about how hundred odd men clogged and overwhelmed approximately 2000 Pakistani legionnaires. This battle was all about the audacity, impetus, chauvinism and drive to prizefight exhibited by those eighty Indian warriors. This scuffle is one of my favorite scuffles, and whenever I come to this place, my mind start envisaging how horde of men repudiated the destiny. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, A-Coy of 23 Punjab had taken up the defences at Longewala. The A-Coy company commander was Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri later on emer...

IS THIS TRUTH OR ANOTHER COMEDY BY PAKISTAN ARMY????

Kashmir War 1947 - 49 By November 1947 Auchinleck, Supreme Commander based in New Delhi, being convinced that Indian Cabinet was seeking to destroy and undo Pakistan by economic and military means, was forced to resign. As the build-up of Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir continued, Pakistan Army units were being hurriedly organized and equipped without any base for manufacture of ammunition, signal stores, equipment or vehicles. Simultaneously, Pakistan National Guards were raised from ex-servicemen and other volunteers along border areas to provide a second line of defence. By February 1948 Indian build up in Jammu and Kashmir reached five brigades plus, under two full-fledged division Headquarters. Our 101 Brigade, commanded by Brigadier Akbar Khan was rushed into the critical front to forestall and halt the Indian offensive along Uri-Muzaffarabad axis. In April 1948, Commander-in-Chief Pakistan Army appreciating the threats in the north along Muzaffarabad-Kohala...

INDIAN AIR FORCE ADOPTS 'GO GREEN TREND'

Mission Accomplishment Paramount Even as IAF Initiates ODS Alternatives in Weapon Systems The Indian Air Force (IAF) is adopting a multi-pronged strategy to combat ozone depletion including limiting the use of Halon to mission critical uses, tighter control laws and incorporating accountability towards phase-out of ODS (Ozone Depleting Substances) said Air Chief Marshal PV Naik while delivering the inaugural address at the two-day International Workshop on ‘Benefits of ODS Phase-out in Defence Forces’ organized by Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS), today. Air Chief Marshal P.V. NAIK While highlighting initiatives taken by the IAF, and encouraging alternatives, the Air Chief however, clarified, “Mission accomplishment remains paramount for the Armed Forces. Substituting an ODS would only be done, if it doesn’t impinge on operational effectiveness of the system in question.” For new weapon systems in the pipeline, inclusion of a clause in RFPs for provision of alter...
