The Megapixel of Africa Continent

Almost five years back, India and China were competing in the African continent to capture the economy and set up new business ties with the African nations. It was a close call, and India lost to the China. Well, there is no shame in accepting the defeat but it will be injustice, if we don’t try. India hosted the Indo-African summit of 2015 and which has reached to a successful end. It was important for India in order to strengthen its business ties with Africa and overcome the defeat given by china in terms of economy. Great move by Indian think tank but the question is what we have gained from the Indo-African Summit 2015. Let us discuss our gains which will not concentrate on the megapixel of the image but we will focus on the pixels. It will be enlightening for all of us, not just the ministers of Indian government. Now, Indian Establishment knows where Niger is on Map. Do you know? 1. Niger falls in Sahara desert of West Africa. 2. The neighbouring natio...

When Narender Modi took The Advice of Don Corleone Seriously

Yesterday night, I was reading an article on my iPhone which was ruthlessly criticizing the Prime Minister of India Narender Modi. The blogger is Pritish Nandy who gave advice to the Prime Minister through his new blog post. Pritish Nandy opined the prime minister to listen to the critics . Well he slated the Modi government on focusing more on destroying the image of its rivals rather than just ignoring them. Well, I had to accept the fact that if the government would have snubbed the saga of returning awards then the issue would have not been given such great prominence by media. Now it has turned out to be a boxing bout between the government of India and the people who are in opposition. This morning, I woke up and switched on the news channel which is the first most thing which I do each morning. I was bomb shelled to see that Modi made a statement stating that Indira Gandhi made sacrifice for the nation. Last night, he was criticized for the intolerance towards...

Did Indian Air Force Killed its Own People?

Indian Air Force has been at the peak of anti-naxalism operations in Chhattisgarh from past several years. Indian Air Force has supported Central Armed Police Forces from the blue sky and followed the rules of engagement set by the government earnestly. But the big question is, did Indian Air Force killed its own people in anti-naxals operations?  However, recently several media agencies had misled the people by projecting the air strike practice of Indian Air Force at Bastar as the shift of strategy by government of India. Media projected that Indian Air Force Helicopters were used to carry out strikes against our own people. Indian Air Force and Ministry of Defence has clarified the rumour spread by the media and quoted that such irresponsible news has tarnished the image of Indian Air Force. It has also threatened the operations carried against Naxalite in Bastar region. Following are the highlights of the press statement issued by Indian Air Force reg...

More Colonel Ranks in Indian Army, But Court Says BIG NO to Services

Few years ago lead petitioner Lt Col P K Choudhary had filed petition in Supreme Court against Indian Army regarding the promotion discrimination among arms and services from the rank of Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel. He quoted that officers of services are overlooked during the promotion to Colonel. Finally, Supreme Court has delivered the judgement. Following are the highlights of the judgement. 1. Defence ministry accepted that they had done the mistake by designing current promotion system. 2. Present promotion system was designed after introspection after 1999 Kargil operation. 3. After 1999, it was realised that Indian army battalion commanding officers used to age above 40+.     Whereas that of Pakistan and China were comparatively young just above 37+. 4. In order to lower the age of battalion commanding officers, additional 1484 Colonel Posts were           produced but distributed only among the combat arms. 5. T...
