10 Myths about Service Selection Board's interview

There are so many myths about service selection board’s interview. Some are funny and most of are ridiculous. So here are top 10 myths of SSB interview of my time.

1.       You are followed and observed everywhere. Give me some break, you are not followed or observed everywhere, even not in your bathroom. People have this general misconception about SSB interview that they are observed the time they board the train for selection board. So guys relax and be yourself rather showing your useless leadership in annoying people over railway station just because you are observed.

2.       I was repeaters that is why rejected. Buddy you were rejected because you were not fit, not because you have availed ten chances. If you notice most of the times, two out of three recommended candidates are repeaters. It doesn’t mean that fresher lost their chance, it just mean who all deserved will be selected.

3.       Let’s go out and visit places because interviewer will ask question about it. Trust me, interviewer is least concerned about your visits to places in the city where center is located. It is just because they want you to be refreshed. People overdo this visiting places and suddenly you meet travelers rather than SSB aspirant.

4.       If I will tell I took coaching, I will be rejected. If you will tell that you haven’t taken coaching, then also you will be rejected, the thing is your performance not how many times coaching you have taken.

5.       Last time he did xyz so I will do same, so this time I will get selected. Give me some break, you are not going to get selected because of that, ‘be yourself’ is not a bullshit.

6.       I withdrew from xyz academy, now I am unable to justify. Actually, tell the truth but you are also unable to show the x-factor which you showed last time when you got recommended. There is no magic behind the selection.

7.       CHM will not select me. Bro CHM is not on selection panel and he is not judging you. He is there to guide you. So respect him as elder but don’t overdo it.

8.       He got selected because he loves his country more. Yes, I heard this thing as well from a candidate. Are you kidding me??

9.       Watch NEWS on TV, they will see and judge us. Oh really, they will come to TV room to see which channel you see after or before dinner.

10.   These auto walas are appointed to spy on us when we go out and tell our leadership qualities. KILL ME!!!!!

If you have your own interesting myths about the SSB do share it.

25 Facts about Battle of Longewala

I am ready to bet that these facts will surprise you and I am sure you were not aware about it.  1.        Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri was the company commander of one of the companies of 23 rd Battalion of Punjab regiment which took defences in Longewala. It was a detached company which implies that rest of the battalion had taken up defences far away from the location. 2.        The distance between Longewala and the 23 Punjab Battalion location by road was approximately 26 kms. This meant that in case Longewala was attacked then it would be difficult to reinforce the Longewala defences on time. 3.        Tactical commanders considered Longewala as less important location, and this was the reason to employ just one detached company. 4.        Pakistanis entered India from a place called Ghotaru which is 40 kms by road away fr...
