If you are living in the IT hub like
Bangalore and willing to eat delicious food on a reasonable price then my
friend trust me, it is IMPOSSIBLE. Bangalore is a very expensive city. It is
not possible to find even a roadside vendor offering food at a cheaper price.
Yes, there can be couple of roadside food stalls offering at lesser price but
what about the quality? The real issue is quality of the food. If it is not
delicious even after paying few bucks, it will feel like you paid more.
I am staying in Bangalore from past eleven
months and it is difficult to find yum food in affordable prices in the
mainstream region of the city. Yesterday, I was very hungry in afternoon and I
along with my friend discovered a place called ‘Tale of Paratha: Every Paratha
has a Tale to Tell’. The name is very
catchy and it is located in Domlur. I was hoping something different from this
place and at least food to eat as I was really hungry.
Every Paratha Has A Tale To Tell |
When we entered the restaurant which is
located on the 1st floor, we saw a very ordinary looking place which
was clean but ambience was not impressive. As I was really hungry, we decided
to give it a shot.
We sat on the table, and the manager cum
waiter warmly greeted us and served a glass of water and Jaljeera. My friend
loved Jaljeera, and it created a good impression on us. When I opened up the
menu, then we were surprised to see the prices listed in it. Comparatively, to
all other places, food was very cheap. After
seeing the prices, I was praying that food is of good quality. We ordered one Allu Mushroom Paratha and one Paneer Paratha. As we were in den of Parathas, it was
more logical to try Paratha. I had eaten Paratha in the world famous Parathe-wali-Gali
in Old Delhi and it was not at all filling. I thought the case is going to be
something similar here. So I proposed to my friend to order noodles, if our
stomach shouts for more food even after eating paratha.
Our order was served after ten minutes, and
I was surprised to see. He served us in a very clean plate (which I was not
expecting after seeing the place). The plate had Butter Paneer, Chole, Pudina
and Green Chilly paste and curd along with two aloo Mushroom parathas in one plate and
two Paneer parathas in another plate.
We attacked on our plate as we were hungry and the parathas were hot and
yum. It was way better than any paratha served in any of the restaurants. I can
say that it was way better than Parathas of Parathe-wali-Gali. At the end of it
we licked the plates. Two parathas were enough for us. Then we paid bill and decided
to come to this place once again.
Bottom line: Place is worth of money spent,
food is healthy-hygienic-delicious, enough space to sit, remember you have to
pay the bill after eating on the counter (he will not bring bill on the table),
only cash is accepted.
