Former National Security Adviser of India Brajesh Mishra passed away yesterday at an age of 84. Those who have followed him during his career knows it that he was the best diplomat which any government in the world can have to deal not only with security issues but also making effective national policy. He acted as the major aid to Former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Wajpayee.
I came to know about this sad news through one of the tabloid. After finishing my workout, I switched on my laptop to browse the latest happening all over the globe and my eyes caught this sad news. Death of Brajesh Mishra is going to create a void in Indian Diplomacy. Outlook magzine called him ''James Bond'' of Indian politics. He played crucial role in decision making through the tough times of Kargil conflict, kandhar hijack and Nuclear Bomb Testing at Pokhran. Prime Minister used to trust his opinion rather than following advises given by the cabinet.
When I read the comments on the article in which few chumps were feeling happy on his death considering that another old bureaucrat will not enjoy life on the pension given by government, I felt really annoyed. What has actually happened to present generation? If they don't know about the contributions he made to develop India then they are ignorant and despite knowing his contributions they made such comment then they are bunch of illiterate people. A nation doesn't have a future whose present generation forgets heroes from the past who played crucial role in the development of the country. May be he didn't fight a war against the enemy but he was sitting in tactical command to assist in making effective policies to win the war. He not only supported India through his wise advises and judgement but he was also face of India at United Nations. I hope the people who will read this post will understand the contributions made by Brajesh Mishra for the nation.
