Necessity of war

From past four months, I am associated with a Facebook page known as Indian Army Love Confessions . Few crazy cadets of National Defence Academy got this idea to find their dates for the ball dance through Facebook. Interestingly, their initiative became success not only among cadets and girls but also among army officers and respective wives. I really like reading the love confessions on this page which girls’ makes for their love and officers and cadets make for their crushes/love/wife.   I was going through one of the post where a girl was wondering why war between two nations occurs. I felt she is against war, but sorry lady I felt offended. If there is no war then there is no need for army, and no army then no handsome officers for whom girls would crazy. On a serious note, war is the last and important resort for any conflict between two nations. Nation’s army is the strongest punch which any government wants to save it for the last.   Once there ...

Kids Are Future of Our Society

I was roaming on the streets of Delhi to explore new things. Any city in the world, changes its colors in night. There is calmness which is combined with occasional excitement. Crime raises its head after midnight. You will not find many people on the streets. All shops will be closed and street lights enlightening all these scenes. As I was walking through the streets and narrow lanes in search of something different. I saw a very young kid, who was half naked in the extreme cold weather. The kid was in his teen age, and very thin which indicated that he spends many nights without eating dinner. He was fighting his way in the cold. He was reading a newspaper, trying to learn about the world, but the cold weather was challenging his survival in this cruel world about which he wanted to know more. Suddenly, he folded the newspaper and set it on fire, to draw some heat which will help him to survive the cold weather. He wanted to study and learn about the society but his fina...

The Next Destination: Gurdaspur, Punjab

I woke up at 0130 hours in the morning. It was still dark, street lights illuminating the roads. Somehow, I managed to come out of my quilt. My bags were pack for the next trip. By 0200 hours, I left my apartment. We had already arranged transport for ourselves. We started at 0400 hours to our next destination. The next destination was Gurdaspur, Punjab. As I was sleepy, I closed my eyes for a while and felt asleep while the vehicle was moving through the streets, villages, mountains and jungle. When I opened my eyes, I was in Chandigarh. I had been here about twenty two years back. I love this city, but fortunately I was moving towards a different destination. After twelve hours of drive, we reached Gurdaspur. We had already booked guest room for ourselves. We were tired but still willing to go out and explore the city. Gurdaspur is a place of canals, where irrigation canals passes by. Nothing much to see, but it is famous due to the battle fought between India and Pakis...

When you travel, you meet several people. All are interesting in one way or another. I am travelling from past several years, met many people and it was truly a learning experience. As the trend goes, in very early stages of my seven days road trip, I met a guy who I felt was the hero of this real world. Well, I am calling him hero because of his character and deeds. I met Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal. Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal receiving Tensing Norgay Award from President of India   Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal comes from a village background. He is from Badhori a small village in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir. He started his career in Indian Army as a recruit. But as it is said, you can’t stop a true leader to emerge out from lakhs of people. Major Ranveer Singh Jamwal cleared service selection board for Army Cadet College, and graduated from there. Followed by Army Cadet College, he got inducted in Indian Military Academy and became commissioned officer after four...
